Mental performance is also known as sport or performance psychology, the study of how psychological factors impact your performance. The goal is to train your brain to help you, instead of holding you back. Sport psychology can enhance many types of high pressure performance, including athletics, dance, injury rehabilitation, theater, etc.
By meeting with a Mental Performance Consultant (MPC), you will be able to recognize the mental barriers that prevent you from reaching the next level of your game or performance. We will then work together to create a plan for you to overcome these mental obstacles, so that you can perform your very best!
The topic of each session will depend on your personal goals and what would be most beneficial to you. Common topics are listed below, but feel free to reach out with questions about others.
Although the topic of mental health may arise during sessions, it is important to remember that Sport Psychology is NOT Clinical Psychology. I am not licensed to diagnose or treat any mental challenges beyond performance enhancement techniques. In the case that a pattern of other mental challenges occur, I will connect you with a local Clinical Psychologist.
There are no quick fixes for performance issues! You must be willing to put in the effort and practice the mental skills and techniques. These skills must be strengthened over time to create permanent changes.

During 1-on-1 sessions, I’ve helped many individuals overcome mental blocks, fear of re-injury, performance anxiety, and fear of failure. I’ve also worked with others to boost their self confidence, pain management skills, motivation levels, and leadership skills.
I’ve led groups of over 30 athletes and coaches through workshops on topics like group bonding, identity, and confidence. Another group setting has included guest lecturing for the University of South Alabama.
Up to this point, I’ve been blessed to work with athletes in basketball, diving, baton twirling, softball, football, ice skating, soccer, track & field, tennis, gymnastics, cross country, and baseball. These athletes have ranged from 8-20 years old and competed at many competitive levels, including youth, Junior Olympic, and collegiate sports.
My goal is to help every client pursue excellence and personal growth. I want each individual to feel seen, known, encouraged, and empowered.
I believe the client is the expert in their arena, so collaboration is key! By working together, we are able to formulate a plan of action to level up their mental game.
Using a psycho-educational approach, I aim to educate individuals so they can continue to improve themselves outside of our sessions. These mental skills and techniques will help in practice, competition, injury rehabilitation, school, and other areas of life.
